The Aristocracy of Resources
You make choices about your use of limited resources every day, and so do societies. With each resource we use for food, transportation, work, and, well, life, the ways we utilize our available resources can have different impacts on the other plant and animal species with which we share this giant rock hurtling through space. We are forced to weigh our options determined by our environment and our location on the aforementioned giant rock. Martin Hall, a scientist doing research on ways to reduce the impacts of the tuna fisheries on the ecosystem, will talk about the variables underlying the ecological and ethical dilemmas we face as individuals and together.
