October 2019 Assembly

Assembly content warning for sexual assault and for strong language.

With her brand of dark and irreverent humor, stand-up comedian A.G. from the Webby award-winning podcast Mueller, She Wrote will share her experience of rape in the military, and how using comedy helped her recover from PTSD. Please join us for A.G.'s adult and wry take on coping mechanisms, and for the singalong that has been scientifically proven to be irresistible.

Programming note: The Mueller, She Wrote podcast sends its 3 hosts all over the country for live events, and there's a possibility that they will book a gig and have to reschedule or cancel for our October Assembly. Future speaker Elizabeth Earley has agreed to be a backup speaker, and we will update the above info if that happens. Thanks from SASD go to both speakers for this arrangement.

The Bankers Hill Club features an accessible facility, including accessible parking spots and bathrooms.

Sunday Assembly San Diego is a new radically inclusive non-religious community that meets monthly to hear inspirational talks, connect for service projects, sing songs and generally celebrate life. Assemblies are free to attend, and everyone is welcome.

Free child care for ages 1.5 and up is available at every Assembly.

Stay after the assembly for coffee, snacks and to hang out with other assemblers.
