January 22nd Sunday Assembly

But, I'm Not Racist.

Sunday Assembly with Kaimipono Wenger

It's has been over 50 years since the civil rights movement, and yet racial disparities continue to affect society. Professor Wenger's talk will examine the stubborn continued existence of racism in 2017, and will set out suggestions for anti-racist education and activism.

Kaimipono Wenger is an Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and director of the Center for Law and Social Justice. He teaches on business law topics as well as civil rights law and critical race theory. His research focuses on a variety of civil rights topics in critical race theory, reparations and apology for slavery and Jim Crow, and law and religion. He has presented as a invited speaker for the Congressional Black Caucus in 2008, 2010, and 2014.

All Sunday Assemblies are FREE to attend and everyone is welcome! We are a radically inclusive secular community. Our motto is: Live Better. Help Often. Wonder More.
