28% of the US is nonreligious - and that number keeps going up, meaning they're not part of mainstream religion and may not enjoy the benefits of a close network of like-minded people. The mission of Sunday Assembly San Diego is to promote well-being for non-religious folks in the San Diego area through connection with others, mutual support, encouragement to contribute to those in need, and inspiring, thought-provoking content. We are one of a network of Sunday Assemblies around the world; you can find a map of Sunday Assemblies HERE.
We want Sunday Assembly San Diego be a place of compassion, where, no matter your situation, you are welcomed, accepted, and valued.
We aim to provide inspiring, thought-provoking and practical ideas that help people live the lives they want to lead and be the people they want to be.
Assemblies are communities of action: building lives of purpose and supporting each other by encouraging us all to help anyone who needs it.
Our monthly assemblies provide opportunities to listen to speakers chosen from the greater San Diego community and beyond, who introduce us to their fascinating areas of expertise and help us broaden our knowledge and thinking. We also attend talks, sing together, listen to readings, and even play games - all to help us connect with each other and the awesome world we live in.
