Let's Read is one of L.A. Works' long-time signature volunteer programs that offers tutoring in mostly reading, but also focuses on writing and other needed skills to children with limited access to educational resources. Volunteers work one-on-one with children ages 6-13 on homework and provided workbooks, then assemble as a group for art projects, science demonstrations or social skill-building games.

Details can be found on the L.A. Works website: here. You will need a background check (due to working with children), which is a one-time cost of $25 paid directly to L.A. Works. Once you are in the L.A. Works system, you can sign up for the event on their website- if you do, remember to check the "sign up as part of a team." Our team is "Sunday Assembly."
