We Are All C. S. Lewis

70 years ago, the writings of C. S. Lewis took the western world by storm. He achieved the rare feat of becoming beloved in his own lifetime and well beyond. His books have been required reading in countless literature courses throughout the intervening decades. But the world has changed since the 1950s. Alexis Record, author of "Bedtime with Bitsy: A Critical Read of the Chronicles of Narnia," spent much of her energy over the last four years deconstructing the more harmful ideas found in Lewis' children's books. In the process, she learned a lot about the man himself and will describe how Lewis was shaped by his experiences, and in turn, how his experiences shaped his literature.

Sunday Assembly San Diego is an inclusive non-religious community that meets monthly to hear inspirational talks, connect for service projects, sing songs and generally celebrate life. Assemblies are free to attend, and everyone is welcome.

We are located at the Bankers Hill Club, which features an accessible facility, including accessible parking spots and bathrooms.

Stay after the assembly for coffee, snacks and to hang out with other assemblers, but for lunch, we are eating at Barrio Star after the Assembly! That info is in a separate Meetup event:
