We will have a rich evening of community, fun, and tradition, including a customized version of the program Brighter Than Today: A Secular Solstice.
Participate in a night of games, silent auction, and bake sale, and enjoy a range of hors-d'oeuvres (veg/non-veg options available) and cash bar. Get your tickets now! Regular ticket sales close on Thursday 12/9 with a limited number of tickets available at the door for a premium price.
Big family? No problem! Our tickets are priced with you in mind! This year, adult tickets are only $10 and kids 5 and under are free! We also have some other options to make sure that you and your loved ones are able to attend, with a number of donated tickets available.
This is a family-friendly event. We'll have a separate space with childcare provided, and fun activities for the kiddos (unless they want to stay and celebrate with us).

8:45 - 9:00 - Silent auction winners announced

10:00 - Doors close
We are taking donation items for the Silent Auction. Suggested donations include: Gift baskets you make, books and art and music, home decorations, games and puzzles, jewelry, gift cards, gift certificates for experiences, tickets to events, homemade food goods like canned fruit. One rule of thumb is: make sure it's a gift you'd personally give to someone, or that you'd like to receive.

Silent auction donations can be dropped off at an office at 7777 Alvarado Road Suite 720, La Mesa, CA 91942. Please call or text 619-519-1241before arriving to be certain someone is available to receive your item(s). Items can also be dropped off at the venue on the day of the event, but please try to drop them off early in the afternoon, so that the auction items can be arranged and the starting bids determined prior to the 5:00 opening of the celebration.
This year, we will have a bake sale for those holiday treats you'd like to take home with you, preferably larger items like pies. If you'd like to make and donate a yummy non-refrigerated treat for sale, please contact Lynn by phone (757) 870-7577 or email [email protected] or send the SASD Facebook page a message.
The cash bar will open at 5pm. We'll have a variety of premium non-alcoholic options, a selection of beers and wine, and our traditional and delicious special holiday drink. Can sodas and bottled water will be available for free.
Please consider buying a pay-it-forward ticket. This will allow us to offer sponsored tickets to members of the community who may not be able to attend otherwise.
