About the Speaker

Patrick L. Abbott earned a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a long-standing professor of geology at SDSU. He is author of numerous books, including Natural Disasters (McGraw-Hill), and The Rise and Fall of San Diego (Sunbelt Press).
